Frequently asked questions of Adventure Medics.
How does a Doctor find a job?
1. Doctors can select the 'jobs' or 'find a job' icon to get to the 'jobs' page.
2. Here a Doctor can either; search using their desired interest, region or date, or they can browse the latest jobs.
3. By clicking on a job they want to read more about, a Doctor can read a detailed description of the job. If they are interested they can respond.
4. To respond Doctors have to register first, once they are registered, the Doctor can log in. Once logged in they can converse with the Organisation, attach a CV, etc. The Organisation will be able to read the Doctor's registration form and correspond.
5. By logging in and selecting 'my adventure' the Doctor can continue their correspondence with the Organisation.
How does an Organisation add a job to find a Doctor?
1. An Organisation should go to the 'find a Doctor' page by clicking the icons on the home page.
2. Then follow the instructions on the flow diagram.
3. To add a job an organisation must first be registered. Fill out all the sections of the form. The 'catagories' are best fit so be creative. From there they can add a job through filling out their requirements. If a mistake is made it can be edited by pushing the 'edit' icon. Please push the 'submit' icon, to send to us for publishing.
4. The job is then sent to Adventure Medics, who review the position and then publish it on the website.
5. Doctors can respond directly to the company through the site. An email will be sent to the contact address when there is a response.
6. Organisations can check the responses by logging in and selecting 'my account'. There will be a list of the Doctors and access to their registration forms and an area to respond.
How does an Organisation check a Doctor?
Depending on the job;
1. Review the registration form the Doctor has filled in and decide whether their qualifications fits your requirements.
2. Ask for their CV or resume. There should be referees that can be contacted.
3. Check with the medical board they are registered with. Most boards can also supply a letter of good standing. Check also that they are able to work in your country.
4. Ask the Doctor for a letter of clearance from the police.
5. Organise an interview, by phone or in person.
6. A full medical exam may be required.
How does a Doctor check an Organisation?
Depending on the job;
1. Check the organisation's website.
2. Ask to contact past Doctor's who have worked for the Organisation.
3. Check that your registration and insurance is valid for the position.
What are the catagories about?
The catagories are inclusive, best fit, areas that you feel encompass the opportunity. They are there to help simplify the seaching and brousing. There is no firm definition of their boundaries.
